Surgery

Surgery is a common veterinary procedure used to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions in dogs and cats. Prior to surgery, your pet will receive a thorough physical exam and may undergo blood work and other diagnostic tests to ensure they are healthy enough for the procedure. During the surgery, your pet will be under general anesthesia, and vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure will be closely monitored by a trained veterinary professional. After the surgery, your pet will be carefully monitored during the recovery period, and medications will be provided as necessary for pain management. While surgery does carry some risks, modern surgical techniques and anesthesia have made surgery safe for the vast majority of pets. Your veterinarian will work with you to develop a customized surgical plan that takes into account your pet's specific needs and health status.
